Some of the very first design building projects GMS undertook included designer rural banks for PNG’s largest bank, BSP Bank. At the core of the designs were security and functionality. Some of the highlights of our bank buildings included safe rooms, double steel skin exteriors to provide better security against local conditions and custom built teller joinery with built in anti jump screens.
With a custom pre-fabricated over roof structure, the building models a commercial office building rather than a rectangle modular cabin design. This approach exceeded the client’s brief and delivered a bank building that reflects their edgy and progressive brand.
Bank Design Features Include;
• Perforated steel mesh security panels on exterior (2mm thick steel)
• Safe room and storage area
• Staff kitchenette and toilet
• ATM feeder room (including independent A/C)
• Emergency battery back up light fixtures
• Commercial grade vinyl flooring with timber pattern
• Steel entry and exit doors
• Over roof covering all buildings including gutters
• Composite wood feature cladding around building skirt and walkway surround
